Great! But...
Ok, and so first off, I want to let the devs know that they did an amazing task making this app. It has a elementary pattern, looks slap-up, and is very user-friendly. One thing is that Google Drive offers 15GB for complimentary, while I think Dropbox only offers 2GB. Perhaps for the costless version, upgrade that a fiddling flake.
Anyway, I mainly use Dropbox over any other service, because I believe it's better, but I might accept to switch to Google Drive for more free storage. The i affair that I would add to information technology, is shortcuts. For case, if I could take all my files in i big binder, and them scatter them across different folders using shortcuts to the aforementioned file, in the large folder. I utilize Dropbox to proceed my music MP3's, but I tin can't have them in different floders without copying and pasting, which would take upward twice the storage. I would have multiple folders, and ,for example, have my vocal in one folder, and another, without doubling the storage. Horrible Background Battery Usage
I actually love the app and information technology gives me the ability to share my files between my iPad and my desktop computer easily. I originially got Dropbox because Google Drive was draining my battery by constantly running in the background. Well, my bombardment has been draining again over time by almost 30% or more than at times. I checked my battery usage and Dropbox was running in the background for 7 hours straight. Why? I looked upwardly the issue, and someone mentioned the only way to fix it was to disable it in the File app on my device, but I don't desire to do that, because sometimes I do need to access things from that app, or move things that way. I understand that it checks the binder in Files and makes sure everything is synced to the actual Dropbox app, but 7 hours? At that place'due south also an issue where if I upload items to Dropbox inside the app, if I close the app, it stops uploading. I have to have the app open for it to finish uploading. I've never had to deal with that before. Not sure if these are Apple bug or Dropbox issues. I promise there'southward another fix for it though, because I shouldn't be going to sleep with my iPad at 100% and waking upward to it already downwards to lxx%. I guess I volition do the temporary ready in files for now, unless I notice another cloud service that doesn't drain my battery all day.
